Project Overview

Main developer and coordinator of the project – AgFutura Technologies

Funded by – Fond for innovation and technologies – FITR

Duration of the project – 1 year (01.09.2021-01.09.2022)

The subject of this project is a service innovation incorporated in the CDA which consists of 3 key components:

  • EDUCATION for digital agriculture (DA) and precision agriculture (PA) with a high degree of applicability;
  • CONSULTING for introduction of DA / PA;
  • AGRO TECHNICAL SERVICES for performing precise operations using a drone.

The CDA project is motivated by several strategic ideas. First, climate change expressed through increased atmospheric temperatures and seasonally unpredictable amounts of rainfall throughout the year; Second, increased incidence of diseases and pests in combination with inadequate application of agro-technical measures (protection, nutrition and irrigation); Third, the challenge for farmers to understand the applicative and economic effects of applying digital farming technologies. The answer to these challenges is through the three dimensions (education, consulting and agro-technical services) of which the CDA concept consists.

Component EDUCATION – Through the implementation of educational processes that will be performed on a pilot farm equipped with digital technologies guarantees a high degree of applicability that will allow much easier absorption of a complex professional material. In this way, potential customers are expected to see the benefits of using this type of technology much more easily and to apply them in the future.

CONSULTING COMPONENT – By offering consulting services in the process of introducing DA / PA in agribusiness in various subsectors, we provide support to clients in the decision-making process for this type of investment. Namely, through the needs assessment services, defining the type of equipment and support during implementation and use, we will enable a much easier transition from a conventional way of production to a modern way of production supported by digital technologies.

Component AGRO TECHNICAL SERVICES – By offering services for sowing, fertilizing and plant protection with the help of a drone supported by the current zoning and PA services, AGFT enables the transformation of agricultural production in the direction to be optimized with capacity to meet the standards of food safety and environmental protection.
